Higher Level Apprentice Instrumentation Engineer

The Role

Ashdale Engineering are currently seeking a higher-level apprentice (HLA) to join our instrumentation team.

The Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme will take approximately 4 years to complete whereby you will benefit from paid vocational training as well as studying for a level 4/5 Qualification at a local college.

During this time, you'll become qualified to carry out, Calibration, planned preventative maintenance, general maintenance of equipment, modifying and testing, inspecting condition-based monitoring, and identifying faults within systems. Becoming an Engineering Apprentice will require a commitment to a comprehensive training programme, 'on-the-job' training, and the completion of a portfolio of evidence to support a Level 5 NVQ Diploma (or equivalent). Therefore, we're looking for someone who has a 'can-do' attitude, a flexible and pro-active approach to tasks, alongside a keen willingness to learn and the drive to succeed.

Ashdale Engineering will work with you and develop you to become a highly skilled engineer who will help to maintain our state-of-the-art electro/mechanical systems used in ERFs.

You will receive a starting salary of £18K per annum.

About You

To be considered as an HLA Instrumentation Technician, you will ideally need: -

You'll have, a minimum of five GCSE's (or equivalent qualifications) at grade C or above including English, Science, and Maths.  Ideally a grade B in Maths or Science.   You may also have completed or be in process of completing NVQ level 3 in an electrical engineering course or A levels in subjects that would be acceptable to the entry criteria of the Level 5 NVQ.  You'll also have a good standard of IT skills and/or Microsoft Office knowledge with a practical aptitude for engineering or technology.

A full, valid driving licence is required and an openness to working flexible hours.

More Detail

Core working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 5:00pm with some flexible / overtime hours as clients require.
